La Leche League USA has launched a one-month, nationwide survey to better understand the demographics of those served by or touched by La Leche League through meetings, social media, email, in-person visits, and telephone.  A similar survey has been sent to accredited LLL USA Leaders to better understand the demographics of those providing support. For both surveys, participants will remain anonymous and data will be compiled to create a clearer picture of both those receiving and those providing support through LLL USA.  The survey data will help LLL USA to determine potential action steps for increasing diversity on all levels to better reach those populations currently underserved by LLL USA.

Results from the survey will be used to better fulfill the LLL USA mission to help mothers nationwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
