Partners in Parenting: Playtime!

Jason with son Logan, playing on the couchKelsey G., Washington

When our son, Logan, was born, my husband was beyond thrilled. Jason was very helpful with our newborn, doing the vast majority of diaper changes and supporting us while we figured out breastfeeding. He also couldn’t wait for the day Logan could play with blocks, throw a ball, and play. Jason would build elaborate structures that Logan would just knock over. Now that Logan is three, they are inseparable best buddies! Our house is always filled with castles, animals, or cars made of building blocks; capes and superhero costumes; and the sound of wrestling and joyful, intensive play. Logan keeps my husband on his toes, as it is impossible to fully satisfy our three-year-old’s need for play! It is so wonderful to see their relationship grow.
