Live, Love, Latch!^® 2024, sponsored by La Leche League USA, was an incredible celebration of connection, support, and community. Our events throughout National Breastfeeding Month (August and early September) brought together families, advocates, and local supporters across the nation to celebrate human milk feeding. We are so grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to making 2024 Live, Love, Latch!^® a huge success, helping us create warm, welcoming spaces where families feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Bringing Community Together

Live, Love, Latch!^® is all about fostering connection, sharing knowledge, and supporting every family’s unique nursing journey. Whether gathering for a community dinner, joining a workshop, or simply sharing stories, our events aim to make every parent and supporter feel part of a greater breastfeeding/chestfeeding community. Here’s what made this year’s gatherings so special:

• Interactive Workshops and Educational Sessions: Our events featured a range of interactive activities, from expert-led workshops to creative sessions like “Lactation Arts.” This session alone attracted over 100 attendees, reflecting a strong interest in engaging, hands-on activities. Families left empowered with practical knowledge, new skills, and confidence.
• Milk Drives and Resource Sharing: Community-centered events like milk drives collected thousands of milliliters of milk, offering practical resources for families in need. These contributions added a tangible impact to the celebrations, directly supporting families who rely on donor milk.
• Family-Friendly Fun for All Ages: With play areas and family-oriented activities, our events were welcoming for everyone, including little ones. Parents could enjoy the day while children played nearby, creating a joyful, connected atmosphere that radiated community spirit.
• Incredible Online Engagement: Our social media campaign on Facebook reached over 150,000 people, generating 250,000 impressions and a 5% engagement rate – well above the industry average. The positive feedback and high engagement of our digital outreach helped broaden the impact of Live, Love, Latch!^®, building awareness and connection beyond the events themselves.
• Support for Every Pathway: Live, Love, Latch!^® embraces every pathway and approach of human milk feeding and family support. Our goal is to ensure each family has a supportive lactation environment that values their choices, celebrates their milestones, and offers resources tailored to their needs.
