LLL USA would like to proudly support and bring recognition to Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) as we celebrate the inaugural “Black Maternal Health Week.” We recognize the gravity of the black maternal and infant health emergency in the USA and we support the efforts of all who are working to dismantle the health impact of racism on black mothers and babies.   
 
LLL USA treasures the contributions of LLL black Leaders, and we seek in solidarity their continued health and safety. We cherish the contributions that black mamas make to their families.  We appreciate the presence of black mamas and babies in LLL gatherings, and we seek their accreditation as Leaders. Breastfeeding is an essential component of maternal health.
