Favorite New Beginnings Stories of 2025

As we close out the year, let’s take a look back at some highlights from New Beginnings in 2025. Below you’ll find some of our readers’ favorite blogs from the year, in case you missed them or would like to read them again!

We featured many exciting and heartwarming stories this year. Kenisha described her experience nursing with a galactocele. Amanda wrote in and shared some of her favorite tips for weaning a toddler from her own personal experience. We also heard from Rebecca, who explained her decision not to rely on weighted feeds and to follow her baby’s cues while breastfeeding. Annie related her journey with nursing a toddler through an ectopic pregnancy.

A new edition of the LLL essential guidebook on breastfeeding, The Art of Breastfeeding, was released just before the year began, and we reviewed some of the excitement from readers about the new edition. Attendees reflected on the La Leche League International virtual conference and the many important topics that were covered. The blog celebrated National Breastfeeding Month and the LLL USA special event Live, Love, Latch!® with many interesting and informative stories contributed by members of the communities being honored during the various recognition weeks of August and September. It was particularly exciting to join in promoting the inaugural Deaf and Hard of Hearing Breastfeeding Week that was launched this year.

The blog also featured new informational resources for nursing parents, like this post about nursing with illnesses. Many families each year wonder about introducing solids to their babies, and New Beginnings is here to help. In addition, we launched a new parent help series called “Dear Listening Leader,” where we talked about topics like infant sleep and finding yourself after becoming a parent.  We look forward to addressing more common issues in the new year, so send in your questions!

Thank you for reading New Beginnings. We hope you’ll enjoy the stories we’ve planned for 2026 and beyond. Whether real or imaginary, told for entertainment or informative purposes, your questions and/or story submissions are always welcomed and encouraged.
